This disorder is characterized by worry, excessive fear and behavioral disturbances and are a type of mental heath condition.

  • Stressful or traumatic events in early childhood or adulthood
  • Sometimes can be side effects of some medications
  • Can be related to medical conditions like heart disease,diabetes,thyroid etc

Several types of anxiety disorder:

  • Agoraphobia: Fear and often avoid places or situations that cause you to panic or trapped
  • Anxiety due to medical condition: Anxiety due to health conditions
  • Generalized anxiety disorder:Excessive and persistent worry about activities or event
  • Panic disorder: Repeated episodes of sudden feelings of intense anxiety and fear
  • Selective mutism:Consistent failure of children to speak in certain situations such as school or even with close relatives
  • Separation anxiety disorder: Related to parents separation or who have parental roles
  • Social anxiety disorder: fear and high level of anxiety due to embarrassment,self consciousness and being judged
  • Substance induced anxiety: Due to misuse of drugs,taking medications and exposed to toxic environment
  • Specific phobias: Anxiety when exposed to objects or situations.
